Variety reported this week that actor and musician Jared Leto will be producing and starring in an upcoming solo Joker film to expand upon his role in 2016’s Suicide Squad.
This movie does appear to be part of a network of spin-off films designed to expand the DCEU universe, which also includes the upcoming Harley Quinn and Birds of Prey movies.
Jared Leto’s Joker received mixed reviews with audiences, partially because of his lack of screen time, his odd look in the movie and having to follow post-humorously in Ledger’s shoes in his memorable last performance in The Dark Knight.
