Marvel editor-in-chief C.B. Cebulski breaks down all the latest and greatest coming from the House of Ideas with some of Marvel’s most epic creators! Tom Brevoort, Al Ewing, and Dan Slott will dive into the cosmic calamity coming to Earth’s Mightiest Heroes in the pages of Empyre! An army is gathering in the latest X-Men crossover event, X of Swords, and Jordan White, Tini Howard, and Gerry Duggan have all the juicy details! Nick Lowe, Nick Spencer, and Mark Bagley will discuss the landmark Amazing Spider-Man #850 ushering in the return of the Green Goblin! Plus Nick Lowe rejoins the panel to discuss the return of the classic Marvel character, Werewolf by Night, with creators Taboo and Ben Jackendoff! Be there, True Believers!

Cebulski introduces Tom Brevoort to talk Empyre. Brevoort “sits down” with Dan Slott and Al Ewing. Both writers are nice and passionate about the project, which is great but nothing new to see here. It is nice to hear them talk about their respective artists and the ways they have handled difficult demands gracefully.

Ewing speaks generally on the Empyre epilogue, Immortal She-Hulk and Slott speaks about the Profiteer. Slott states that the fallout in his Fantastic Four Empyre Epilogue book will impact the entire Marvel Universe. Never heard that one before in comics coming out of a major event. Sounds like a really important issue.

Now we switch to Jordan White, Tini Howard, and Gerry Duggan to discuss “Ten of Swords”. Jordan’s mustache is on point. Gerry’s goatee is really well shaped. I love Tini’s glasses. So far, nothing here that we haven’t seen in solicits or months ago at C2E2. This cover is revealed.

There is some discussion of how excited everybody is about Doug Ramsey/Cypher’s story in the crossover and cryptic messages about Betsy/Captain Britain having an important moment. Again, the writers take a moment to acknowledge how much work the artists are putting in filling the requests of the writers.

Switch to Nick Lowe moderating a panel of Nick Spencer and Mark Bagley to talk Spider-Man. They discuss The Kindred, Sin-Eater and the lead up to #850, which features the return of Green Goblin.

Ben Jackendoff comes in to talk about the upcoming Werewolf By Night. Lots of excitement here, particularly surrounding the use of Red Wolf. It does make the book sound like something to look forward to even though, once again, nothing new here that we haven’t already seen or heard. Taboo is late to the party but better late than never. More excitement and hype!
