DC announced that new hero Trinity is getting her own six issue miniseries, spinning out of the Wonder Woman backups this June. Trinity: Daughter Of Wonder Woman will be written by Tom King with art by Belén Ortega, colors by Tamra Bonvillain, and letters by Clayton Cowles and follows as the daughter of Wonder Woman teams up with herself to search the timeline for her father. The book will also feature the Supersons and their corgi alter-egos.
Trinity was introduced in a series of back-up stories from the main Wonder Woman title, jumping across points of the hero’s life. These back-up stories were collected into two one-shots: Trinity Special #1 and Trinity Special: World’s Finest #1. Elizabeth Marston Prince, aka Lizzie, is the daughter of Diana Price and Steve Trevor, fashioned out of clay in a manner similar to Wonder Woman’s sometimes birth.
While little has been seen of Lizzie in the present day, the back-up stories jump in time to her as a small child, teenager, and young woman. Each features her teamed up with the Supersons, Damian Wayne/Robin/Batman and Jonathan Kent/Superboy/Superman, usually to get into a series of hijinks or slice of life adventures.
Ortega is set to provide both interior art along with a main cover for Trinity #1. Variant covers will be illustrated by David Talaski, Dan Mora, Leirix, Dan Hipp and Tirso. Those covers and a preview of the interior pages can be seen below.
Trinity: Daughter Of Wonder Woman #1 will be available in comic shops and digital platforms on Wednesday, June 11 from DC.
