Image Comics announces that Local Man kicks off a new arc later this fall with a line of ‘90s Image inspired variant covers. The newest issue of the superhero series comes from creators Tony Fleecs & Tim Seeley is set for a release on October 18. The story sees local hero Jack Xaver, aka Local Man, investigating a drowning on dry land while grappling with the legality of his role as superhero. The case weaves in with Jack’s affair with the chief of police’s wife and a growing conspiracy about Local Man killing a beloved figure.
Fleecs & Seeley will illustrate each of the four variant covers that evoke the specific looks and tropes from various ‘90s Image titles. All of those covers can be seen below:
Local Man #6 will be available at comic book shops on Wednesday, October 18:
