NEWSWATCH: Discover an Old World in The New TV Series Lost City Explorers.

Watch “Lost City Explorers” unearth lost cities as they explorers the TV landscape in new series.

Written by Zack Kaplan, with art by Alvaro Sarraseca and colored by Dee Cunniffe this new sci-fi comic lets its readers know that Lost cities aren’t just the stuff of myths. They exist hidden right under our noses. But when a mysterious expedition is disrupted by supernatural activity, and an antiquities professor goes missing, his teenage daughter and her friends must become underground urban explorers, follow his tracks on a coming-of-age journey through subterranean tunnels, and ultimately find the holy grail of lost city: Atlantis buried right under New York City!

Launched in April of 2015 independent publishing company AfterShock Comic has teamed up with Universal Television to produce the comic as a TV series. Zack Kaplan has become the new breakout creator in comics. In two short years, he’s launched three on-going sci-fi series with his debut hits Eclipse and Port of Earth for Image/Top Cow and most recently with The Lost City Explorers.

Jon Kramer and Lee Kramer, both from AfterShock media and Kaplan will be executive producers on the show. “We at AfterShock are excited for this first project with Universal and thrilled that they saw in The Lost City Explorers what we saw – an incredibly fun and thought-provoking story from a creator with tremendous talent,” said Lee Kramer and Jon Kramer, President and CEO respectively, of AfterShock in a joint statement about the upcoming show.
