Yesterday, Marvel announced a line of variant covers in honor of Asian American, Native Hawaiian, and Pacific Islander Heritage Month this May. Cover artist Inhyuk Lee will provide four unique covers featuring characters across the Marvel universe, for upcoming issues of Daredevil, Ghost Rider, Doctor Strange, and Wolverine. Each cover will spotlight and feature a backup story featuring the AAPI character depicted on the variant cover. The first story will feature Lin Lie’s Iron Fist and Daredevil fighting water demons in a story written by Jason Loo and drawn by Lynne Yoshii. Doctor Strange will flashback to Nico Minoru’s first meeting with the Sorcerer Supreme written by Amy Chu and drawn by Tokitokoro. Writer Jon Tsuei and artist Tadam Gyadu bring Taegukgi and Ghost Rider into a race to find ghosts thought to be in both character’s rearview. Sister Dagger and Wolverine clash claw and dagger as they hunt monsters in Paris in a story from writer Gene Luen Yang and artist Peter Nguyen.
