Actress Ming-Na Wen, the show’s Agent May, revealed via Twitter that ABC has elected to renew Agents of SHIELD for a seventh season, despite rumors that Season 6 would be the final season.
Rumors that the show was in jeopardy to continue stemmed from the news that Season 6 would air mid-season (expected July 2019 air date) and would be shortened to only 13 episodes. Season 6 will pick up after the devastating events of the Season 5 finale, which saw the loss of multiple crucial and beloved characters (which ones? You’ll just have to watch!
