Marvel reveals that Black Cat and Mary Jane will continue their recent history of team-ups with the new limited series, Jackpot and Black Cat, this March. Written by Celeste Bronfman, who scripted MJ’s transformation in Jackpot in the wake of Ms. Marvel’s temporary death and the upcoming solo series tied into Gang War. The book will also feature art from Emilio Laiso and coverts by Adam Hughes.
In the press release, writer Celeste Bronfman described the dynamic between the two character, stating:
“MJ’s been a hero since day one, and I’m so excited to continue her journey as Jackpot – this time with Felicia Hardy by her side! Opposites attract, and I’ve always loved the push and pull of their friendship. Expect them to butt heads through heists, betrayals, and the unexpected!”
The limited series will see the duo teaming up to figure out who is blackmailing the supercommunity at large, including Black Cat. The sometimes hero and thief is forced into a public crime spree, and Jackpot investigates, continuing to wet her feet into superheroes.
