Image Comics revealed a first look Stoneheart #7, the kickoff to the second arc of the fantasy series. Written and drawn by Emma Kubert, the series returns in November to continue Shayde Whisper’s coming of age story filled with mysterious pasts, the burden of exile, and vicious magic creatures. The series follows Kubert’s other books like Inkblot and artwork on Radiant Pink, both of which blended a deeply personal story with a genre twinge.
In the press release, Kubert spoke about the budding plotlines in the second volume, stating:
“The new installment of Stoneheart dives deeper into the impending spiral of Shayde Whisper and the mysterious lore of Athea as we meet roguish pirates, confront cruel enemies, and battle leviathan-sized monsters. With every step of creation, it’s truly exciting to see the story unfold in such unexpected ways, intensifying the enigma that is Shayde Whisper and her magic. Make sure to catch up with Stoneheart Volume 1, and come along for the unraveling journey of a lifetime!”

Stoneheart #7 will be available at comic book shops and digital platforms on Wednesday, November 6.
