Magnetic Press revealed more information about its upcoming collaboration with French design studio Label 619. One of the first projects resulting from this partnership is a complete collection of MFKZ, the 5-volume manga-inspired alien invasion, dystopia story. The comic developed from an animated short, which then in turn inspired a film adaptation from Japanese production house Studio 4c.
In the press release, Magnetic Press founder Mike Kennedy discussed the partnership, stated:
“We are incredibly excited to partner with Label 619. Their exceptional artistry and storytelling align perfectly with our mission to create thoughtful and inventive stories with a distinct and unique visual style. We’ve been proud to bring several of their books to the English-reading audience to date, and this partnership will allow us to bring even more of their groundbreaking projects to shelves, captivating readers around the world.”
Magnetic Press is known for its graphic novels and tabletop RPG books alike, including Carbon Grey by Hoang Nguyen, Khari Evans, Paul Gardner, and Kinsun Loh and the Planet of the Apes RPG sourcebook. Label 619 is known for titles like Guillaume Singelin’s Frontier, as well as Carbon & Silicon and Shangri-La by Mathieu Bablet.
