Marvel unveiled a new series, Phases of the Moon Knight, to fill in the gaps of the Fist of Khonsu lore. Launching in August, the series will collect multiple stories tracking the various Moon Knights across history. The last two runs of the series, from writer Jed MacKay and artist Alessandro Cappuccio primarily, have teased the wider history of the vigilante with the introduction of Hunter’s Moon and the massive weight of legacy lurking in the warrior doctor.
The issue starts with two stories, the first spinning out of Vengeance of the Moon Knight, explaining how the Shroud rose to the rank of Khonshu avatar. That tale is written by Erica Schultz and illustrated by Manuel García. Then, writer Benjamin Percy and artist Rod Reis shift back to the past by focusing on an original, Crusades era Fist of Khonshu. G.O.D.S. cover artist Mateus Manhanini is providing the covers for the series.
That cover and a detailed description for Marvel can be seen below.
