Relive all the Marvel Capcom arcade fun from the ’90s with three of its best games in one cabinet
In celebration of the 80th anniversary of Marvels Entertainment, Arcade1Up has teamed with Marvel and Capcom to build a special limited-edition arcade machine of Capcom’s Marvel Super Heroes, the superhero fighting game that originally debuted in 1995 in arcade cabinets and helped reinvigorate the dwindling arcade business, for at least a few more years.
An initial 8000 unit will be built of this full-sized cabinet that will be available for purchase at the Arcade1Up’s website for $399, which are currently open for presale.
This dream machine will have one of a kind artwork and a light-up marquee with a classic full button and joystick control panel. And if that wasn’t enough the cabinets will also include Two other 90’s smash hit games, X-Men: Children of the Atom (1994) and The Punisher (1993)
Later this year Arcade1Up is slated to release two new cabinets for Konami’s Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles and Atari’s Star Wars. The company also has various other cabinets for sale of other classic arcade game such as Rampage, Pac-Man and Space Invaders, and Mortal Kombat.
Scott Bachrach, CEO of Tastemakers, LLC, Arcade1Up’s parent company was pleased to proclaim that “We wanted to provide our hard-core fans with something special to celebrate Marvel’s birthday.”
