BOOM! Studios and Archaia announces a new Kickstarter that will see both companies’ entire run of The Dark Crystal comics collected into one set. The collection, titled The Dark Crystal 40th Anniversary Library, will comprise seven volumes detailing the stories of good battling evil set across the land of Thra. The collection is set to correspond with the 40th anniversary of Jim Henson’s original film.
The Kickstarter, which has already gone live, will run through Monday, November 14. As of reporting, the project is fully funded, and has already doubled its goal of $25,000. The library edition will include five oversized (7.5 x 11”) hardcovers, plus two supplemental volumes – bound in spellbinding faux purple leather and foil-stamped with an ornate invocation of The Great Conjunction’s sacred alignment in the following sequence:
