NEWS WATCH: BOOM! STUDIOS Reveals Details For Upcoming House of Slaughter Arc

BOOM! Studios announces that a new story starts with House of Slaughter #11. The story will be written by Tate Brombal (Behold, Behemoth), illustrated by artist Antonio Fuso (Stargazer), colored by Miquel Muerto, and lettered by AndWorld Design. The story recenters focus on previously established Jace Boucher, an ex-monster hunter focused on protecting the children under his care.

“Each new book makes the world created by James and Werther wider and more fascinating, and I am truly proud to help expand it even further. Welcome to the House of Butcher!” said Fuso.

The series is a spinoff anthology that delves deeper into the world of the monster hunters first seen in Something is Killing the Children. The series, part of BOOM!’s current renaissance of original titles, is written by James Tynion IV, with art from Werther Dell’Edera. Brombal wrote the first arc of the series, detailing the first chapter of Jace’s story.

“I’m BACK at the HOUSE OF SLAUGHTER, and it feels so…good?! I knew Jace Boucher was a special character when we created him, but I was still not prepared for the outpouring of love for this tragic, vengeful Legacy Hunter,” said Brombal. “That’s why I feel so privileged and excited to continue Jace’s story, as we take our prodigal son home to New Orleans where his past finally comes back to haunt him. Now, I leave you with one final question: Are you ready to meet The Butcher Shop?”

House of Slaughter #11 features main cover art by famed illustrators Mateus Manhanini (Wakanda) and co-creator Werther Dell’Edera with Miquel Muerto, as well as variant cover art by acclaimed artist Danny Luckert (Shock Shop).

“People fell in love with the complicated but beautiful relationship between hunters, rivals, and lovers Aaron and Jace in the first arc of HOUSE OF SLAUGHTER, so it’s with great excitement that we can say Jace’s journey in the Slaughterverse is far from over,” said Eric Harburn, Executive Editor, BOOM! Studios. “This time joined by the supremely talented Antonio Fuso, as well as the return of colorist extraordinaire Miquel Muerto and letterer AndWorld Design, Tate continues to breathe life into the messy humans at the center of the monster-hunting universe that James and Werther created, bringing heartbreak and action in equal measure.”

Print copies of House of Slaughter #11 will be available in January 2023 at local comic book shops (use comicshoplocator.com to find the one nearest you), or at the BOOM! Studios webstore. Digital copies can be purchased from content providers like comiXology, iBooks, Google Play, and Kindle.
