According to an exclusive from Deadline, eOne and Hasbro have closed a deal to bring on Bryan Edward Hill to write the new Power Rangers film adaption from recently announced director Jonathan Entwistle.
After revealing that Entwistle will be overseeing a new expansion of the Power Rangers franchise on film, TV and maybe more, the news of Bryan Edward Hill set to write the film puts the new project in rapid motion.
Though Hill is a comics alumn writer having worked with Marvel, DC Comics, Top Cow, Boom and Vertigo, he has also been very active in film and television as well with credits ranging from a new adaption of Black for Studio 8/Warner Bros, the popular DC series Titans and I Am Yours for Paramount.
After the recent live action reboot in 2017 failed to take off, this new expansion of the Power Rangers franchise seems to be moving full steam ahead. Hill has already taken to Twitter to confirm the news and share his own excitement.
I'm INCREDIBLY excited about this. I LOVED Jonathan's work before I came aboard this, and when I heard his ideas I immediately got stoked.
This is one of those "Wow I get to do this!" projects.
And you guys supporting my work helped me get it.
Thank you. Appreciate you. https://t.co/HggjaQn9XH
