NEWS WATCH: Child-Rearing In Zero-G With Zero Parents In New Series “SENTIENT”

Jeff Lemire and Gabriel Walta reinvent latchkey kids for the twenty-second century

All parents worry about how their children will get along if they pass on before their children are grown. Well in the forthcoming TKO Studios original sci-fi comic “Sentient” every single one of those worries is still around and has begotten a few more like can an A.I raise children out in space, alone?

In “Sentient” the new series from the minds of Jeff Lemire (Black Hammer, Descenders) and Gabriel Walta (The Vision) all those questions are answered in a six-issue mini that is part of the second wave of releases from TKO Studios. The Los Angeles publishers have come up with a unique sales approach where they offer the series in single-issue print collected in a box for $24.99, digital editions for $14.99, and a single volume graphic for $17.99 that are all available simultaneously at launch.

“Sentient” is about the U.S.S. Montgomery, a colony ship in the year 2105 where all the crew members have died and have left the care of their children to the ships A.I VALERIE.

TKO Studios first wave of titles debuted in December of 2018 with four series that are sure to have something for everyone.
