Superman and The Authority #1 & #2
Coming This November
After some speculation on the future of Grant Morrison with DC Comics and some projects shifting due to the global pandemic and other factors, we have now gotten a confirmation that DC is set to publish Superman & The Authority by Grant Morrison, Mikel Janin and Jodie Bellaire in November.
Though we don’t have much more information other than the collected edition of issues #1 and #2 are set to release on November 16th, 2021, longtime fans will recognize The Authority from Warren Ellis and Bryan Hitch’s work during the Stormwatch series in 1999. But there have even been mentions of The Authority in DC Comics titles as recently as Future State: Superman Worlds at War.
This is somewhat in contrast to what artist Liam Sharp commented on with the issue #12 of Green Lantern Season Two meant to be Grant Morrison’s last work ever at DC, but this could easily be due to delays with Superman & The Authority likely written some time before Green Lantern Season Two #12.
It was always planned as two seasons of twelve issues each, so that’ll be it. Grant says it’s his last ever DC work. I still have four issues to draw mind, so I’m not done quite yet! 🙂
