Dark Horse Comics has been a mainstay in the industry for horror comics. Next month a new Boston based supernatural series will add itself to the roster. Heading up the new limited-run series is writer Paul Maybury (Valhalla Mad) and artist Sam Lotfi (Last Stop), both Beantown natives, introduce us to a motley cast of characters who plan to take us on a dark and murderous tour around the city (sorry, no stops at Wahlburgers). Recently Maybury and Lotfi sat down with the folks over at Paste for an in-depth look at the what went into the story and its characters.
The official solicit reads as follows:
Detective Migdalia Torres investigates a vicious strangling on a Boston subway car with no feasible leads. As potential evidence produces dead ends, Migdalia inadvertently takes in a vagrant named Yusef who may have a supernatural connection to the crime at hand.
In the interview, Maybury revealed that the idea for the series really springs from the concept that the people society ignores and turn a blind eye to bear witness to another side of the world that we in our rushed lives don’t see. In this four issue mini-series, the creative team will introduce to this world. It’s a world of kindly transit cops, an injured homeless man with dark and perilous visions and of course monsters…
