DeCarlo’s wife Tracy was struck by a vehicle while out walking, leaving her in a coma and an unfortunate financial situation; the driver who hit her had an expired license and no insurance.
With a goal of $15,000, the GoFundMe page has raised over $11,000 in one day!
DeCarlo became best known in the 1980’s for his inking work on such DC Comics mega-hits as Finisher on Crisis On Infinite Earths, Tales of the Teen Titans, and Legion of Superheroes. He also worked on the controversial “Death in the Family” storyline in Batman. He has worked on Marvel’s Fantastic Four as well as animated projects from Warner Animation.
The costs of having her cared for out of state, where the accident occurred, are mounting. Much of the assistance will go to getting her to their home state of Indiana so she can continue her recovery, for which Mr. DeCarlo remains very optimistic.
