NEWS WATCH: Gwen Stacy Pays Homage to the X-Men with X-Gwen Variant Covers in February 2022

This February, Gwen Stacy AKA Ghost-Spider will travel through time encountering different versions of herself in SPIDER-GWEN: GWENVERSE courtesy of writer Tim Seeley and artist Jodi Nishijima.

Along with the series that was announced this morning via The Mary Sue, Marvel Comics will celebrate this sweetheart’s new era, some of the industry’s leading artists have put together an exciting collection of variant covers that will see Gwen step into the shoes of your favorite X-Men!

In the interview, Tim Seeley said about the upcoming series:

“You don’t need much beyond knowing that she looks so cool because we’ll catch you up on the details. But, the basic facts are that Gwen Stacy is a superhero with spider powers, who tries to use her skills to save people to compensate for the guilt she feels over the death of her friend Peter Parker. She works with her dad, a retired cop, and her friends in her old band, The Mary Janes.
One of the things that we really push in this story is that these aren’t “alternate universe” Gwens. These are all from the same universe. In fact, they’re from history! So, their existence has real stakes for Gwen’s Earth!”
