John Cassaday makes a big splash as the chief creative officer for comic book giant Humanoids
Moebius, Alejandro Jodorowsky, and now John Cassaday, Humanoids comics know talent when they see it and who better than said talent to be the company’s new chief creative officer. In a effort to make a bigger impact in the American comic book market Humanoids has tapped Cassaday to help make that happen.
Eisner Award winner for best penciler/inker, Cassaday’s iconic work on Wildstorm’s Planetary and Marvels Astonishing X-Men has made him one of the most sought after artists today.
“This is the first time I’ve taken on an executive role at a company,” said Cassaday in an interview found in The Hollywood Reporter. “John Cassaday is one of the seminal artists of the comic book industry,” Humanoids CEO and publisher Fabrice Giger said in a statement that made it clear both Humanoids and Cassaday are ready to bring us all some great new stories to experience.
Giger went on to say:
“John created I Am Legion for Humanoids in 2004 and became part of the Humanoids family. From now on, he will play a major role in Humanoids’ original content development that will have the industry talking.”
The announcement of Cassaday’s becoming apart of Humanoids comics comes in before an announcement on October 5 at New York Comic Con.
“And that speaks to just how excited I am to be a part of a bold new chapter in their history. Fans who attend the New York Comic Con panel will be a part of it on Day One.” Cassaday said in an interview.
So prepare yourself to add plenty of books from Humanoids to your pull list as their new chief creative officer John Cassaday is bound to make them a household name.
As always we will be watching…
