Disney held its Investor’s Day conference and unloaded a plethora of content across the world covering two of the biggest fandoms. Star Wars and the Marvel Universe.

2020 has been a less than stellar year for the world over. People are glomming on to any bit of good news that can take the place of the rank fand file news that fills the airwaves currently. Disney, an unlikely hero would be the information savior we have been looking for the break the mundane news cycle.  Yesterday they held their Investor’s Day conference and unloaded a plethora of content across the world covering two of the biggest fandoms. Star Wars and the Marvel Universe. Both fandoms have their fair share of toxicity when it comes to new content, however, we are not going to spend time on that, rather we are going to make use of our time talking about these new releases that have fans chomping at the bit for more information. Here at Comic Watch, we have decided to put all the information into one fell swoop to help you keep track of all the great stuff headed your way in the very near future.

Marvel Studio came out of their corner swinging like Mike Tyson in the 90s. Doctor Strange, What If…?, Shang-Chi, Ms. Marvel, Secret Invasion, Ironheart just to name a few. But wait, there’s more!

Not to be outdone by Marvel Studios, Lucasfilm had their time to shine and release their own heavy hitters that will surely please the most discerning Star Wars fan. Spanning across the galaxy timeline titles such as Ahsoka, Rangers of the Old Republic, Obi-Wan Kenobi, and Rogue Squadron round out a list so impressive that the Jawas are starting to gather around. As a lifelong Star Wars fan seeing these titles get announced and seeing the EU come to life and seeing Lucasfilm dig into avenues of this vast and incredible universe is refreshing to a degree. Visions, Ahsoka, Rangers of the Old Republic, Mandolorian Season 3, Obi-Wan Kenobi, Andor, Bad Batch, The Acolyte, Lando, A droid Story, Rogue Squadron, and WILLOW have been announced and if you are not smiling from ear to ear, you might want to get your circuits recalibrated and pulse checked.

How could you not get excited about all of these new announcements? There is plenty here to dive into and get the conversation rolling as to plots, actors, actresses, etc. With two fandoms that are rife with passionate fans, I’m sure there are bound to be praises and gripes to accompany these lists, especially after they release. Healthy conversation is always a good thing in the fandom, however, I’m sure there are going to be plenty of naysayers and trolls that will be released onto the online world like orcs to Helms Deep. Both lists are phenomenal on the surface and if time has taught us anything is that Marvel Studios knows its way around a movie set and Lucasfilm is doing ok as well.

This is the way.
