Kate Kane to return to Batwoman on The CW with Wallis Day stepping into the role.
The CW series ’Batwoman’ has finally found its new Kate Kane with British actor Wallis Day, after Ruby Rose’s departure from the show. Ruby Rose suffered accident on set in 2019, forcing her to have surgery due to the injuries she sustained.
Batwoman, created by writer Greg Rucka and artist J.G. Jones, was reintroduced to the DCU continuity during the 52 event, and made history as the first lesbian to take up the role, and had a run as the lead in Detective Comics, while Bruce Wayne was believed to be dead.
Kate’s whereabouts have been a mystery since actress Javica Leslie took up the role of Ryan Wilder, donning the cape and cowl. Leslie made history as the first black woman to take the role as the iconic superhero. Ryan will remain as Batwoman, and the reintroduction of Kane solidifies Ryan’s role.
Catch Batwoman every Sunday on the CW and HBOMAX.
