Lee Chandler’s The Millennials: #1-3
Young antihero Black Heron and his sidekick, Black Cardinal, battle against an opposing hero faction known as ‘The Others.’
The Millenials from Lee Chandler, Mauricio Campetella and Nestor Redulla aims to create a minority-lead complex superhero story, taking tropes from both American comics and Shounen Series to bridge them into an action packed drama that gets bloody.
The comic opens four years after Black Heron saved his first person. Now he’s training that girl to become his sidekick: Black Cardinal. However, the duo has more to worry about than just crime. With the NYPD growing more and more hostile as Black Heron leaves a trail of bodies in his wake, the Mayor makes a move to beef up the Anti-Vigilante Unit.
Unfortunately, their list of enemies doesn’t end there. The speed hero, Blu Dasher, leads her superpowered team agaisnt Black Heron due to a difference of morality. She belives no matter what… you should never take a life. Black Heron was trained and raised believing that “Only death can cure a fool.” This difference causes Black Heron and Blu Dasher to become direct rivals, competing to see who’s the stongest hero.
