NEWS WATCH: Looks Like Marvel Is Back In The Saddle At Comic-Con Hall-H

It’s anybody’s guess on what the Marvel Cinematic Universe has in store for fans at this years Comic-Con

After taking a year aboard to explore life and see the world, mamma Disney made sure that the Marvel Cinematic Universe heads back to comic-con this year. Thanks to Deadline reports of Marvel doing something big in Hall-H at the San Diego Convention Center where most blockbuster moments at Comic-Con have taken place.

With Avengers: Endgame beautifully completing Marvel Studios phase 3 the Marvel Cinematic Universe has a lot of plates in the air right now. The mighty MCU is back at it in Hall H, the largest stage in the San Diego Convention Center, coming this July 18 weekend. Footage from the upcoming solo Black Widow movie and maybe an appearance by Scarlett Johansson with director Cate Shortland should definitely be expected, seeing as production is underway in Norway. The Marvel gods, literally the god-beings of Marvel comics created in 1976 by Jack “the king” Kirby called the Eternals has made news of late with its recent casting choices of Angelina Jolie, Kumail Nanjiani, and Richard Madden under the direction of Chloe Zhao. More productions news should be on the docket with director Destin Daniel Cretton’s Shang-Chi and Scott Derrickson’s Doctor Strange 2.

And let’s not forget the Disney+ streaming series. In April at Disney investor day, the logo for the new Tom Hiddleston streaming series Loki was presented while Kevin Feige confirmed the upcoming streaming series for the Falcon, Vision, and Scarlet Witch on the premium service that launches this November.

Hoping most of all that fans are treated to any and all news about what the Fox merger will bring to the event. The Kevin Feige-run Marvel absorbed the X-Men and Fantastic Four universes and are in the perfect position to make some big waves.

This year also marks the return of D23, the biennial exposition event will take place in August from 23-25 at the Anaheim Convention Center in Anaheim California, over a month after Marvel’s reported presence at Comic-Con. The last D23 in July of 2017 saw the first teaser of Avengers: Infinity War with cast members Chris Hemsworth, Elizabeth Olsen, Robert Downey Jr., Josh Brolin, Paul Bettany, Sebastian Stan, Anthony Mackie, Benedict Cumberbatch, Chadwick Boseman and Mark Ruffalo on stage. It is expected that Disney’s film session on Saturday, Aug. 24 will be devoted to all of its live-action projects including the toon-feature adaptations, Star Wars, etc. Most of all it is clear that the biggest show-stopper would be any news on phase 4, Marvel Studios next chapter in an all ready historic string of great movies.
