Magnetic Press, the independent publishing company founded in 2013 with 17 Eisner Award nominations for works such as A Sea of Love, Watersnakes, Herakles, Doomboy, A Glance Backward, Little Tails, The Ghost of Gaudi, and Dave Dorman’s Wasted Lands Omnibus, is set to launch a new graphic novel called GENPET.
GENPET, written by Damian and art by Alex Fuentes takes comic book fans to the year 2036 where designer pets are genetically modified and custom-made to suit personal design. The story, described as Pokemon meets Blade Runner at Disney World on the Cartoon Network, follows young Nat and his new best GenPet buddy, Niko, as they embark on an adventure around a futuristic New York City which is full of diversity, danger, and opportunities.
