Marvel’s favorite outcasts, The Runaways, are set to return to their adventures in Runaways #33 from the acclaimed creative team of Rainbow Rowell and Andres Genolet tomorrow, February 3rd, from Marvel Comics.
This ragtag group of reluctant “superheroes” find themselves picking up the pieces after their last adventure and facing one of the most terrifying locations in the entire Marvel Universe: HIGH SCHOOL.
While having to contend with the mishaps and life-altering decisions that come along with an average day at school, the group is set to have an action-packed clash with two X-citing guest stars: Wolverine and Pixie!
In a press release from Marvel, Rowell had this to say about the hiatus of the story:
“We left the Runaways in such a precarious position after they defeated Doc Justice. I’m really excited for readers to see how the kids move forward, how they deal with the fallout. And I’m grateful for everyone who has stuck with this story. We never expected to leave readers hanging on a cliff through a global pandemic!”
Regular series artist Andres Genolet is set to delight longtime fans of these iconic characters with his stunning artwork. The issue also serves as a perfect jumping-on point for readers who want to explore one of Marvel’s hottest series as the title approached the legacy number of 100 issues.
Editor Nick Lowe said about the series returning to the shelves:
