NEWS WATCH: Nickelodeon expanding Avatar the Last Airbender universe

Nickelodeon has announced the creation Avatar Studios and has tasked it with expanding the Avatar & Korra universe with new shows, and animated films. No release dates yet, but the first animated film is looking to begin production later this year.

The studio will be lead by Avatar creators, and executive producers Michael DiMartino & Bryan Konietzko. The studio plans on launching the new material on Paramount +, Nickelodeon platforms, other unnamed third party streaming services, and cinemas.
