NEWS WATCH: “The Batman” Gets It Right With Greig Fraser

Greig Fraser’s next Oscar nomination in cinematography could be “The Batman”

Rogue One: A Star Wars Story, Zero Dark Thirty, Vice, and Lion for which he earned an Oscar nomination, are just some of the films that Greig Fraser helped make a wonderful experience for moviegoers around the world and that’s why Warner Bros brought him in for the upcoming movie The Batman.

Having previously worked with director Matt Reeves on the 2010 film Let Me In, it was an obvious choice to get Fraser as the DP. With Fraser on board along with Robert Pattinson who will play none other than the worlds greatest detective, The Batman is shaping up to an interesting take on the caped crusader. The Batman will mark the seventh live-action movie made for the iconic character and is slated for release on June 25, 2021.

Fraser said earlier this week in a statement to The Hollywood Reporter. “It’s great to be working with Matt again” and went on to say “The Batman franchise is iconic and it’s a privilege to now be able to visualize it in my own way. Especially with the cumulative creative potential of all the talent and technicians, we have in front of and behind the camera.”
