Titan Comics is thrilled to be teaming up with leading game developer Jagex to bring their legendary fantasy video game IP, RuneScape, to comics – kicking off in May 2023 with a Free Comic Book Day 2023 edition which will lead directly into a brand-new four-part comic series called RuneScape: Untold Tales of the God Wars, in 2023.
The new FCBD comic is the first in a range of RuneScape releases from Titan’s partnership with Jagex, which includes graphic novels, original fiction, and coloring books. It will launch exclusively in comic shops on May 6th 2023, and will explore the rich and vibrant world of Gielinor – home to humans, elves, dwarves and dragonkin alike.
Since its release in 2001, over 300m RuneScape accounts have been created across PC, Steam and iOS and Android mobile platforms. Set in the medieval fantasy realm of Gielinor, both RuneScape and the retro styled Old School RuneScape take players on an open-ended adventure in a vast ever evolving world brimming with diverse races, guilds and ancient gods, challenging them to take on varied quests and a host of unique monsters.
