NEWS WATCH: Vault Comics For All Ages.

Gotta get them young and Vault comics is making sure they do with new imprint.

It’s easy to see that comic book publishers biggest fans and more importantly, income stream comes from adults, but once upon a time comics were bought by just as many children and young adults so Vault comics is trying to get a piece of that action with a new imprint named Myriad aimed at younger readers.

In 2016 Vault Comics was born with the idea to drive home a fresh new wave of science fiction and fantasy stories to readers that will expand upon the much needed diversity in comic books, both in print and behind the scenes. Several titles with help from VP of branding and design Tim Daniel are currently being developed by Hitman: Agent 47 producer Adrian Askarieh and Silver Fox Entertainment.

Equally important is the gaining of new young readers of all ages and in comes the new imprint Myriad which will be helmed by editor-in-chief Adrian Wassel and Daniel. The Myriad imprint is expected to feature both full-length graphic novels and serialized titles from established creators as well as new voices breaking into the imaginative industry of comics.

Tuesday of this week Tim Daniel made it a point to express that, “Young readers want to make their own heroes — so our heroes must be equally reflective of all of us, representing who we are broadly and as individuals. A seismic shift in readers’ attitudes and expectations requires a myriad of choices — both in format and content. The name of our new line expressly conveys our goal, and what we are delivering to readers.” and continued to say, “Current Vault fans will enjoy the selfsame care and craft in Myriad — and now their kids can, too. The idea is simple: Tell stories just as daring, just as beloved, and just as relevant as those coming out of Vault, but for an even wider audience.” And November 2018 is the time this new vision for our beloved comic book industry will come to fruition.
