W. Maxwell Prince, the creator of the horror comic series ICE CREAM MAN, is teaming with some of the industry’s best artists for a new anthology comic horr0r title, HAHA to be published by Image Comics in 2021.
The new series centering on professional clowns will share a common clown theme from issue to issue, while showcasing Prince’s characteristic one-shot storytelling. Haha promises a departure in tone and will break out beyond horror to present a variety of stories across various different genres.
In a press release from Image Comics, Prince had this to say about the upcoming anthology series.
“I don’t like clowns, so I thought it’d be a good idea to write about them. What a gas, to get to partner with some of comics’ best to tell these ditties about a bunch of real jokers.”
The distinctive new series will also feature the work of various different interior artists, with Vanesa R. Del Rey (Redlands) kicking off the series and subsequent issues drawn by such industry greats as Gabriel Walta (Vision), Roger Langridge (Thor), and more.
HAHA is scheduled for a January 2021 release from Image Comics.
