NEWS WATCH: Whats A Spy Movie Without Some “DANGER GIRL?”

“Danger Girl” the all-woman spy adventure movie we all need and it’s all thanks to Constantin films

Danger Girl, another awesome ’90s comic book is getting the movie treatment and this time it is from the Munich based Constantin film company. This movie adaptation of a popular comic is coming along quite nicely with Jeff Wadlow (Kick-ass 2) directing, Robert Kulzer of Constantin Film, Jeremy Bolt of JB Pictures and Adrian Askarieh of Prime Universe Films are producing, with Umair Aleem as the screenwriter. Wadlow will also handle rewrites for the script.

Danger Girl chronicles the adventures of Abbey Chase who begrudgingly joins an all-women espionage organization. Chase is then paired with other top agents Sydney Savage, Natalia Kasstle, and “Silicon” Valerie who go on globe-trotting adventures in an effort to find and protect a series of objects with devastating power from the evil neo-nazi collective known as the Hammer Syndicate. Mixing the sensibilities of Indiana Jones and James Bond with the sex appeal of Charlie’s Angels the hit comic book debut over 20 years ago in 1998. Artist J. Scott Campbell (Gen 13) and writer Andy Hartnell (Rokkin) created the series on the Wildstorm Productions imprint Cliffhanger, which Campbell launched with fellow artists Joe Madureira and Humberto Ramos. Both Campbell and Hartnell will be executive producers along with Constantin Film’s Martin Moszkowicz.

Danger Girl is currently being published by IDW with new adventures that could turn this film into the next comic book movie franchise.
