DC Comics recently announced that the fan-favorite Batman comic arc ‘Hush’ is getting an animated film adaption.
The incredibly popular Batman: Hush story will serve as the inspiration for an upcoming animated film from DC Comics.
From writer Jeph Loeb and artist Jim Lee, the 12-issue arc Batman: Hush features an extensive list of fan-favorite characters including Catwoman, Joker, Harley Quinn, Ra’s al Ghul, Poison Ivy, Nightwing, Huntress, the Riddler, and Superman, along with many others.
While there hasn’t been any information released on who will write the film or direct it, we do know the expected release date is in the summer of 2019. The DC animated universe that began with Justice League: War back in 2014 after being teased in the end credit scenes of Justice League: The Flashpoint Paradox has proved to be very successful, but it’s possible that the upcoming Hush animated film could also exist in its own universe as well. Films such as Batman: The Killing Joke and Gotham by Gaslight have proven this can be done just as successfully.
Check back for more information on the Batman: Hush animated film as it releases! As always, we will be watching.
