NEWS WATCH: Valiant Comics ‘Faith’ Set to Receive Feature Film from Sony

Women superheroes are finally starting to headline their own feature films, and Sony is looking to join the mix with a live-action adaption of Faith from Valiant Comics!

In what could be the first plus-size female superhero on the big screen, Sony has announced that they are moving forward with a live-action adaption of Valiant Comics crazy popular series, Faith!

“American Gods” writer Maria Melnik is set to write the film, with Toby Jaffe and Neal Moritz producing through their Original Film banner with Dan Mintz of DMG Entertainment.

The move comes after Sony’s 2015 deal with Valiant Entertainment that has already spurred feature films such as Dave Wilson’s “Bloodshot” featuring Vin Diesel and Eiza Gonzalez as well as “Outlander” from Sam Heughan and Toby Kebbel.

Faith is often credited with bringing inclusiveness to comics and superheroes by featuring a plus-size female who has the ability to fly and levitate objects through her companion field. Sony may be on to something great here if they treat it correctly!
