Marvel is celebrating the 20th Anniversary of the Marvel Knights line of comics in the best way possible. With a relaunch spearheaded by fan-favorite writer, Donny Cates!
Marvel recently announced they will be bringing back the wildly popular Marvel Knights comic line that helped to not only propel creator Joe Quesada as well as Axel Alonso to Marvel’s Editor-in-Chief position but also heavily inspired Marvel’s Netflix series.
Donny Cates will be personally involved in choosing the creative direction for each new series, with Tini Howard (Assassinistas, Euthanauts), Matthew Rosenberg (Phoenix: Ressurection, Punisher), and Vita Ayala (The Wilds, Batman Beyond) already chosen as initial writers for the relaunch.
The new Marvel Knights comic line will feature many of the original characters like Daredevil, Punisher, Black Panther, Ghost Rider, Elektra, and more.
This update comes alongside news that Donny Cates will be extending his current Marvel Exclusive contract as he becomes the new “showrunner” for Marvel Knights. While we still don’t have information on which title he will specifically be working on, the line will debut in November 2018 with a one-shot titled MK20 #1 from Cates and artist Mike Deodato.
