Yes, you read that correctly. In one of the more interesting casting choices lately, it is now confirmed that Nicolas Cage has been cast as Spider-Man Noir!
The upcoming Sony Pictures Animation film, Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse, is already highly anticipated, but now we have another reason to look forward to its release. Nicolas Cage has been confirmed as Spider-Man Noir, a darker and somewhat steampunk inspired alternative version of Peter Parker set in the Great Depression era.
From “The Lego Movie” and “21 Jump Street” directors Phil Lord and Christopher Miller, Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse introduces Brooklyn teen Miles Morales, and the limitless possibilities of the Spider-Verse where Peter Parker isn’t the only Spider-Man!
Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse is set to release in theaters on December 14th, 2018 featuring unique visuals using Sony’s in-house computer animation along with hand-drawn comic book techniques inspired by Miles Morales’ co-creator Sara Pichelli.
