NEWS WATCH: DC Reveals Red Hood’s New Costume

As Red Hood and the Outlaws #26 draws nearer, DC has revealed details on Red Hood’s latest redesign, giving him a brand new costume!

Every superhero goes through the occasional wardrobe change. Look at Superman and Batman for example, both of which will soon be wearing their classic trunks once again. Red Hood is no stranger to new costumes either, and it looks like he will be getting a brand new one with the release of Red Hood and the Outlaws #26.

The new design incorporates a real hood (rather than the full red helmet he’s been wearing), a new logo, and a new red mask that covers his nose and mouth alongside a black mask over his eyes.

Jason Todd’s new look was inspired by the character’s recent change in tactics and partners. Although the jacket and helmet look has been widely regarding as his best costume yet, sometimes a change is necessary.

The image revealing his costume was featured in the latest DC Nation magazine, and artist Pete Woods briefly gave some insight on the costume’s creation.

“I was doodling the character to get a handle on drawing him naturally. I was drawing the hoodie with the mask under it and I thought, ‘Oh that’s kind of graphic,’ so I poked around with it. If you look at it, it’s the shadow of his hood over his eyes. I really was happy with it, and sent it in hoping that everyone else would like it.” – Pete Woods
