NewsWatch: MARVEL Making Actors 25 Years Younger

It would appear that in the superhero universe heroes and villains alike never age. The Actors that play our favorite characters do age, but Marvel has a simple solution; De-age the actors.

Captain Marvel is set to hit the big screen on March 8th, 2019. According to Producer Nate Moore, this will not be a typical origin movie but will be a timepiece set in the 1990s.

Samuel L Jackson who will be 70 this year will reprise his role as Nick Fury. Jackson first debuted as Fury in 2008 in Iron Man. Clark Gregg (56) who plays S.H.I.E.L.D Agent Phil Coulson also started in 2008 in Iron Man. Both Actors will become De-aged for Captain Marvel. Marvel’s Kevin Feige stated to SlashFilms “Well, I think having the option is pretty amazing. And I think having the technology and even without spoiling anything, Sam Jackson is shooting a movie for us right now that takes, where he’s entirely 25 years younger the whole movie. And Coulson. So that’ll be the first one where it’s a character for the whole movie, as opposed to a glimpse at a certain period of time. It’s the whole movie. So it’s possible, assuming that works. It’s possible. It’s very good when you are starting by the way with somebody like Michelle Pfeiffer or Michael Douglas or for that matter Sam Jackson or Clark Gregg.”

Could de-aging Characters become the new norm not just in superhero movies but other mainstream? Do you believe that Marvel can pull an entire movie off with de-aging? Please sound off, comment below, let Comic-Watch know your thoughts.
