One of the world’s most famous scribes has been given a license to write the world’s most famous spy.
Ian Fleming Publications Ltd is partnering with IDW Publishing on a mission to create all-new comic book adventures featuring JAMES BOND, the iconic MI6 spy ?– ?also known as 007 – ?who made his unforgettable debut in the 1953 Ian Fleming novel Casino Royale. Since then, many brilliant creatives have contributed to the legacy of James Bond across different mediums. Now, the innovative, influential, and award-winning writer Grant Morrison is ready to show the world their radical vision for Bond in comics.
Grant Morrison said: “I’ve been a James Bond fan for as long as I can remember and this opportunity to put my own stamp on a British character as iconic as King Arthur, Robin Hood or Sherlock Holmes, was too good to miss.
Our opening 6-part adventure, Sunbreaker, attempts to create a definitive Bond story featuring everything fans love about the character and his world, while adding a whole lot more. Expect to see James Bond in a few unfamiliar situations, facing unfamiliar foes, in a world very like our own as reflected in a deadly funhouse mirror – a world of intrigue, violence, double cross and deception. A world through which James Bond glides like a killer shark among minnows. Charismatic, ruthless, unstoppable.
More details about Grant Morrison’s JAMES BOND comic and more comics featuring Bond with IDW will be declassified in the near future.
