Old Enemies Resurface in the Previews for CATWOMAN #55 and BATGIRLS #18

This week in the Gotham-adjacent corner of the DC Universe:

CATWOMAN #55

As a result of her war with Punchline, Catwoman finds herself behind bars. Using the opportunity as a way to recruit, Catwoman now has to also deal with the Royal Flush Gang, who are still loyal to Punchline. All of these colliding plotlines might be the simmering tension that Catwoman needs to secure the other prisoner’s support, and lead to a breakout.

RISE AND REVENGE, PART 5

Fresh out of lockup, Selina Kyle is ready to make new moves. She won’t be working alone, as more and more Gotham criminals are drawn to her philosophy, but she’s not the only Cat on the streets. Eiko Hasigawa’s got a Catsuit of her own, and their plans to change Gotham forever won’t work if they can’t get along. Did someone say catfight?

BATGIRLS #18

After dealing with body swaps and psychotic parents, the Batgirls – Cassandra Cain and Stephanie Brown – are ready to catch their breath and relax at the annual Aparo Park Spring Jubilee. But like any event in Gotham, especially one still dealing with the fallout of Fear State, public events don’t go untargeted. The duo, in their civilian identities, will have to help protect the locals as snipers take aim at the Jubilee.

FROM HELL’S HEART, PART 2

The Saints are back—well, one of them is, and he’s out for revenge on the Batgirls by putting Mr. D, Alysia Yeoh, and all their other friends in danger. Turns out they have history from long before the Saints, and no one holds a grudge longer than a man scorned. Is it enough to run the Batgirls out of town?
