Oni Press revealed a first look at the upcoming sophomore issue of the new series, Jill and the Killers, launching this February. The series, which comes from writer Olivia Cuartero-Briggs, artist Roberta Ingranata, colorist Warnia K. Sahadewa, and letterer Haley Rose-Lyon, follows as a group of friends unravel a true crime subscription box with a dark twist. The clues included are related to two previous crimes and hint towards another waiting to happen, unless the group can solve the mystery and stop the killer.
In the press release, writer Olivia Cuartero-Briggs discussed the premise of the series, stating:
“Jill and the Killers is both an homage to and an F-you to the movies I adored as a kid, because this is a group of kickass teen chicks taking care of business, catching killers, and saving lives their way.”
Issue two features a main and variant cover by Sanya Anwar while Skylar Patridge provides a variant, all of which can be seen below alongside Cuartero-Briggs’s interiors.
