Zachary Levi just announced on his Instagram account additional photography have begun to get ready for their April release date. Now, there’s been a lot of confusion with regards to Cavill’s Superman. Is he still with DC or not? As of now, there is no new information. But if DC is smart, then they would try to get a big time cameo to legitimize Shazam’s spot as a top-tier hero for DC Comics.
Sandberg also stated that “Additional photography will last for about two weeks”. Which is a great sign for fans of DC Comics. Basically, it means that they need to do a few touch-ups, but other than that, they have the film they want.
If you’ve read Geoff Johns’ New 52 run of Justice League, then you know how much of a pivotal role Shazam played in one of the greatest arcs in the last decade in The Darkseid War. One last question: Would you rather see Wonder Woman or Superman in Shazam? Since Wonder Woman 1984 was pushed back to 2020, and her connection with the more mystical side of DC – it makes sense she might make a better candidate to make a cameo than Superman. We’ll see?
How Excited Are you For Shazam?
