Marvel reveals a new variant cover for the upcoming Thunderbolts relaunch, illustrated by Derrick Chew. Featuring Black Widow in her new symbiote suit, the cover teases the benefits the superspy turned hero brings to the new team. Thunderbolts #1, set to release this December, comes from writers Jackson Lanzing & Collin Kelly and artist Geraldo Borges, spinning out of the writing duo’s time on Captain America and their Winter Soldier-led Devil’s Reign Spinoff.
The book follows Bucky Barnes assembling a new team to put down the worst criminals of the Marvel Universe, using a series of files gathered from the Kingpin and the Outer Circle. Winter Soldier is joined by the likes of Black and White Widow, Red Guardian, Shang-Chi, Sharon Carter’s Destroyer, and other rotating cast members based on each mission.
