Skybound and Hasbro have revealed a first look at the upcoming Duke #2, which launched this week as the third installment of the new Energon Universe. Issue #2 launches January 31, comes from writer Joshua Williamson, artist Tom Reilly, colorist Jordie Bellaire, and letterer Rus Wooton, and introduces the extended cast of the G.I. Joe into this new interconnected universe. Duke is on the run and investigating strange occurrences that his government doesn’t want the world to know about.
The series will lead into Cobra Commander #1 also by Williamson with art by Andrea Milana and coloring by Annalisa Leoni, which is set to release January 17. The series offers a look at the other side of the conflict over Energon in the shared universe, first established in Void Rivals #1.
