PLUNGE, from Hill House Comics, a part of DC’s Black Label imprint, tells the story of the Carpenter Salvage team, accompanied by a Marine Biologist eager to retrieve lost data and a company man looking to protect information and asset. The team are sent to recover what remains of the ship Derleth, but when they arrive and begin exploring the ship and the island it crashed next to–they discover something much more menacing than they could’ve ever expected.
Last issue, the long-lost crew of the Derleth emerged from the wind-scoured stones and twisted pines of the Sinnikik atoll, looking not a day older than when they disappeared 40 years before and bearing impossible, dizzying gifts for their rescuers. Now, MacReady’s crew is in for an unexpectedly intimate tour inside the minds of their eyeless new friends.
