TV Horror Host Svengoolie, America’s premier horror show icon and host, kicks off his 45th on-air anniversary and Halloween in scary style with his return to comic books in Svengoolie 45th Anniversary BOO-Nanza from Dan DiDio and Gemstone Publishing.
The issue features multiple stories written by Sven and the members of the Sven Squad. They’re matched up with artists Bill Morrison, Scott Shaw, Joe Staton, Liam Martin, and Dan Parent. Sven and a new set of ghoulish heroes confront “The Day of the Doorbell Demons” while Nostalgiaferatoo, Gwengoolie and IMP each appear in their own solo stories.
With covers by Bill Morrison and Scott Shaw, and a 1:10 incentive Svengoolie photo cover offered, this 48-page, square bound comic features a $7.99 cover price and is due in comic shops on Wednesday, October 2, 2024. Nationwide TV on-air promotion for this book will begin this Summer and run through Halloween. It’s featured on Pages 348 – 351 in the August 2024 PREVIEWS catalog from Diamond Comic Distributors.

There will also be some public appearance celebrations that our fans can get involved with, continuing through the year right into October (traditionally my busiest month, naturally) when MeTV will again christen the whole month as “Svengoolie’ Halloween BOO-nanza” – with double feature movies every week and some surprise appearances. I’m honored to have such a celebration on TV, in person, and in print!”
