The streets of Marvel are ready to explode as Gang War, the next story in the ongoing tale of Amazing Spider-Man launches from writer Zeb Wells and artist John Romita Jr.’s Spider-Man run.
The story sees the webcrawler taking the fight to the various warring elements of New York’s organized crime. Everyone from Tombstone, to the Owl, and beyond are locked in a fight for control of the Big Apple’s underworld, and Spidey plans to defeat them all in the span of 48 hours.
Spider-Man will have to recruit a cavalcade of heroes to help combat the chaos the criminals create. The battle reaches far and wide, bringing in Mayor Cage, Shang-Chi, and possibly MJ and her new superhero mantle, Jackpot. The story launches in Gang War: First Strike before continuing in Amazing Spider-Man #39 and a series of tie-in miniseries.

New York’s criminal elements continue to wage war across the city as the vigilantes and superheroes try their best to stop the damage. Spider-Man gathered a team to try and put an end to the massive threat with the mission leading to Wilson Fisk, Typhoid Mary, and their new status as leads of the Hellfire Club. Meanwhile, Janice Brown has ascended to leader of Tombstone’s (aka her father) territories in the wake of Robbie Robertson’s injuries.
