The streets of Marvel are ready to explode as Gang War, the next story in the ongoing tale of Amazing Spider-Man launches from writer Zeb Wells and artist John Romita Jr.’s Spider-Man run.
The story sees the webcrawler taking the fight to the various warring elements of New York’s organized crime. Everyone from Tombstone, to the Owl, and beyond are locked in a fight for control of the Big Apple’s underworld, and Spidey plans to defeat them all in the span of 48 hours.
Spider-Man will have to recruit a cavalcade of heroes to help combat the chaos the criminals create. The battle reaches far and wide, bringing in Mayor Cage, Shang-Chi, and possibly MJ and her new superhero mantle, Jackpot. The story launches in Gang War: First Strike before continuing in Amazing Spider-Man #39 and a series of tie-in miniseries.
