BOOM! Studios revealed a first look at the next installment of its current fantastic epic miniseries, Mouse Guard: Dawn of the Black Axe. Just in time for Boom! and Mouse Guard’s 20th anniversary, the series follows the original wielder of the titular weapon battling the serpents infesting the land around his home. The series comes from writer David Petersen and series artist Gabriel Rodríguez.
Mouse Guard: Dawn of the Black Axe #2 features main cover art by Rodríguez with variant covers by David Petersen and Kevin Eastman. Those covers and a preview of the interior pages can be seen below.
Mouse Guard: Dawn of the Black Axe #2 will be available at comic shops and digital platforms on May 7, 2025.
